For my post for today, I am going to teach you how play Clash of Clans on your PC Desktop. We all know that Clash of Clans can only be played in devices such as smart phones and tables. Yes, I agree! But today we’ll put things together to make our PC Desktop behave like a tablet.
Officially Clash of Clans is not available in PC or Mac OSX. That is the truth. But…
Everything will be possible with the help of a BlueStacks App Player! To give you a brief background to it, BlueStacks is a flexible software that connects the gap between the hand held devices and desktop by allowing us to run our favorite Apps on our Windows PC or Mac OS X devices. BlueStacks has a currently running Android on its platform. Android fanatics will be more familiar with the interface than the Apple Fanboys. BTW, did I mentioned that BlueStacks is free and the best Android Emulator out in the market? BlueStacks will help us to play Clash of Clans in our PC.
It’s like having a Tablet installed on your PC minus the touch events.
I know you’re excited and I’m not here to talk all day, so Lets start!
Download BlueStacks @ http://www.bluestacks.com.
You can download BlueStacks Installer for Mac & PC Windows. For the purpose of this tutorial, I’ll be working on PC.
After the download is finished, run the BlueStacks Installer (BlueStacks-ThinInstaller.EXE) file.
The screen below will greet you. It’s the usual “I accept the terms in the license agreement.”
You have the freedom to read the Terms if you want to. lol.
Press the Continue button.
The next screen will let you select where the BlueStacks system files will be saved. If you’re not “obsessive–
Hit the Next button to proceed with the installation.
On this screen, make sure to check the “App store access” and “Application Communications”.
BlueStacks Installation will start right after you hit the Install button.
This part of the installation will run five (5) up to ten (10) minutes. Be patient and wait.
The next screen is the last part of the BlueStacks Installation. This will totally depend on the quality of your internet connection. If you have a decent internet connection, a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes will be spent before its done.
Again, I need you to be patient.
Now its done!
BlueStacks default main page displays several Apps installed. For now, ignore those apps (for the mean time) and click the Search icon. That would be the orange box with magnifying glass at the upper left of the BlueStacks window.
Type in “Clash of Clans”. Once the icon of Clash of Clans is displayed, click it to start installing.
BlueStacks doesn’t let you install Clash of Clans that easily. You need to set up few items and that would be your Google Account.
The screen below shows the set up to Enable AppStore and the App Sync. This will take you a few minutes so let’s start the set up by clicking the Continue button.
I assume that you have an existing Google Account. Click “Existing”.
If you don’t have one yet, create one.
Enter correctly your Google Account Email / Gmail account and your Google Account Password.
Press the RIGHT Arrow button.
The check box for “BackUp & Restore” and the “Communication” is not required to be checked. It’s really your choice if you want this to enable.
I prefer to uncheck it. Press again the Right Arrow button.
You’re done with the Appstore, now its time for the AppSync.
Just press Continue.
Again, enter you Google Account Email / Gmail Account and password.
If successful, BlueStacks will show you this screen.
Notice that the AppStore and AppSync is now Enabled.
When you click the button Let’s Go!, it will proceed to the installation of Clash of Clans.
Looks familiar, right?
If you are an Android user, this is the same screen you’ll be seeing when you’re installing any app.
So what are you waiting for? Click that Install button!
I can’t describe the feeling while waiting for this download to be finished.
Your patience paid off!
It’s almost within your reach! Click the Open button.
Here’s a screen shot of my desktop running the Clash of Clans in BlueStacks.
Now that BlueStacks finished loading Clash of Clans, (hoooray!) you may now load your existing village or start a new one.
Just click the Google Play Sign In button at the upper left screen of the Bluestacks window and just log in your Google Account.
If your original/existing Clash of Clans village is on iOS device, I suggest that you read the Device Linking Guide.
I won’t be discussing the Device linking guide further, I extremely believe that it’s your task to do that :)
Now you can play Clash of Clans on your PC anytime you’re using your PC Desktop! #ClashOnPC
