Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers In 15 Minutes!

As a Regular Employee, each one is required to acquire Government Identification Numbers. This will be used by our employers for our benefit remittances. I, myself had completed securing all the required Membership including SSS, Philhealth and Pag-Ibig.

Question, do you know what is your Pag-Ibig Membership Identification Number? Think of it? Did you know that years ago, Pag-Ibig allows every employee to just use ther SSS Number for their Pag-Ibig Remittances. But this year, pag Ibig requires every one to have their own Pag-Ibig Membership Identification Number. Starting July 1, 2012, Pag-IBIG will only use Pag-IBIG Membership Identification (MID) numbers as basis for membership contributions. All employees, therefore, must register for and acquire an Pag-IBIG Membership ID number to ensure that the contributions are properly remitted to and recorded with the Pag-IBIG Fund. But How can you do it without the hassle? Simple, you do the Pag-ibig Membership Identification Number Application online!

To start of our tutorials on how to apply for your Pag-Ibig Membership Identification Numbers, you are required to have your SSS Number and TIN Number ready. If you don’t have it yet, then get one. Visit the official website of Pag-Ibig. Under the Benefits and Program Tab, click on the Membership Programs. I have also provided in this blog screenshot images for your references in case you’re lost. (Important: Enlarge the images by clicking it!).

After the page loads, scroll down at the bottom of the screen and you can see three (3) tabs.

Registering at the Branch for your Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers which I really don’t recommend for you to do, honestly. It’s just too time consuming. I’d rather sleep than to pay a visit the local Pag-Ibig Branch. The Flow chart which I’m really sure you’ll not be interested after seeing it. But you can try to look at it, (it’s a free country!). And the last one is Register via Internet which is you should click select. It will open a small window and will show you the next items.

Since you are trying to register and want to secure your Pag-Ibig Membership Identification Numbers, you should select Register as New Member (Click the radio button to select your choice). At the bottom, click the button that says Continue.

The next page is all about CAPTCHA. Just enter the Letters or Numbers displayed in your screen correctly. This is a security feature which helps to avoid infestation of bots in using the Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers webpage. Enlarge the image on I’ve shown to be sure. No extensive discussions needed here.

Once you’re done with the captcha, you will now arrive at the first page of your Online Membership Registration Form for your Pag-Ibig Membership Identification Numbers. The first page of your Pag-Ibig Membership Identification registration page includes basic information about you. Fill up the required fields such as your complete name (First, Middle and Last names) and the name of your Mother and Father. Click the Next button below to proceed to the second page.

The Other info tab requires you to supply your Date of birth under the mm/dd/yyyy format. The Place of birth is a little bit tricky. You don’t need to type it in. Under the box, click the “Click to get Place of Birth link” , It will open another window and check IF you’re birth place is outside the Philippines (meaning Abroad) or IF not, select you’re Region. I was born in National Region so I will select it under my region. Then the City where I was born which is in Makati City. Click Ok and it will be automatically populated.

The next information you’ll be filling up is your Gender, TIN Number, SSS ID Number and GSIS ID Number if available. Don’t forget also the information at the right side which are the Citizenship (mostly Filipino), your Civil Status (if you’re Single, Married or It’s in Complicated status on Facebook. lol). The Spouse name is required depending on your answer on Civil Status. Click Next at the bottom to continue your Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers registration.

On the Address Tab of Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers registration, supply your correct Address. Your Address should be entered correctly based on spaces provided. This requires a little bit of thinking on how you gonna do it. If you arrived at the City/Municipality Text box, you need to click first the ZIP CODE link at the right hand. Again, it will open a new window and you have to select the correct Region, City/Municipality and Baranggay. After your selections, click OK button and it will automatically populate the require field in you address.

In my case, my Baranggay is not listed. What I did is I just selected the CPO or Central Post Office. I believed that as long as it’s in the same city and correctly entered your address, everything is fine.

Check the “Check if same as above” to copy what you have written previously. It saves time. “Check if Abroad” if you’re in foreign country and enter your correct address. If you have different address which is your present location, correctly type it in. On the bottom of the page, (Preferred Mailing Address ) check where you want any mails to be delivered.

On the contacts tab, type in the email address. Enter (if available) your Home Telephone Number, Office Telephone number and the most important, your Mobile phone number. Click next to move on to the next Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers Tab.

As a Member of Pag-Ibig, you are entitle of benefits. Especially when youre dead! (hahahaha) Well, all I can think of about this page (Beneficiaries) is about death. lol. Anyway, If you’re unmarried you can simply enroll your closest family member which can be your Parents and Siblings. You cannot enroll someone without legal relationship with them.

Sorry, you cannot enroll your neighbors or your girlfriends as your Beneficiary. lol.

After finishing the Beneficiary Tab, you are now set to fill up the Member Category. In this tab, you are about to classify yourself whether you are an Employed under Private or Government Company or a Private Household, Self Employed, an OFW, Individual Payor or not yet Employed. Once you select one, the page will automatically load information that you need to fill up. The information required is all about your Employment Information which you can easily fill up.

The next tab is only applicable to those members with Employment History, if you’re not ever been employed then you can skip this part. Click the Add Employment Detail Link and it will open another small window. Click Next to continue your Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers application.

The Employment details requires the Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers applicant to fill out the Company Name, its address and the month and year when he/she was employed. Click Save and it will appear on the list. Add another Employment detail if applicable. Click next for the final and last step of Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers application.

We’re almost finished! (Hoooray!). You are in the Summary Tab, and there’s only three button.

The BACK button, if you want to review everything what you have written before which I don’t suggest to use. Because the page has a navigational bar whenever you need to go back to a certain tab.

The second button is the “REVIEW MDF”. The function of this button is to show you your accomplished Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers application / Member’s Data Form. You can review it if there’s typographical errors. Review it carefully, I beg you.

The third button is the “Submit Registration”. Whenever you’re satisfied on what you’ve written then you can submit it.

Success! You’re done, after clicking the Submit Registration button, you will be led to this page. Read it if you like. It just states that your Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers Application is successful. If you have available printer, you can print it. If you don’t. You can just leave it for a while.

If you submit it you will be then receive a SMS message by Pag-ibig about your application and as confirmation that they have received your application for Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers. The message says:

You are now registered with Pag-Ibig Fund. Your Tracking No. is 912141003647. Use this when remitting your contributions while waiting for your Pag-Ibig ID No.

Take note of the Tracking Number. You’ll need it to verify your application. You can also View your registration using this Pag-Ibig Tracking Number. Imagine that this is your Key to stardom!.

Whenever you want to see again your Pag-IBIG Membership Identification Numbers application, you should go directly here. I know you’re familiar with this page right? Well if you forgot, you can go back to the official website of Pag-Ibig. then Benefits and Program Tab then click Register via Internet. The page will load again the 3rd image in this blog, make sure that you selected the “View Registration Information” then click Continue. Enter your Registration Tracking Number, your First name and Last Name and the Captcha below and click Proceed. The website will show you the image on the next item below.

The page will allow you to print your Pag-Ibig Member’s Data Form by pressing the Print MDF button.

How To Block Irrelevant Adsense Ads To Improve Your Websites Click Through Rate and Revenue!

As a Blogger, you cannot just put your trust on Google Adsense to serve you random ads. My rule, if its irrelevant then I have to block that Google Adsense Ads. On countless times, as I watch my blog grow, I see lots of irrelevant Adsense Ads displayed in my website. Most of the irrelevant adsense ads previously displayed in my website are not even related to the niche of my blog. And the worst thing about it is it generates a CPC of $.01/click. Pity me.

And as i search for the answer to this issue, I explored the Google Adsense Dashboard and found the “Allow & Block Ads” tab. If you’re new and not familiar to this tab, it is the place where you put the URL of the Advertiser from Google Adsense to be block from your website or blog.

By default, Google Adsense serve ads in every website or blog which is closely related to the content. Unfortunately due to the high density of unrelated words which used repeatedly in the content, Google Adsense’s algorithm got mixed up and returns you unrelated or unwanted Google Adsense ads. If you’re running a blog that talks about Insurance, notice that some of your Adsense Ads links to a Webhosting Sites? That’s where the problem starts.

To block those irrelevant adsense ads, you must do this manually by adding them to the Blocked URL List in your Google Adsense Dashboard. You can easily access it but your biggest challenge is how you can get or find the URL of those irrelevant Adsense Ads.

Where the hell am I suppose to look for that efffin’ URL?

Well, its really simple. Try to be patient, I’ll hand over to you those below. Just remember that you should not click your own Google Ads. I know you know why, right? You’ll end up with a suspended Google Adsense account so don’t dare. Here’s the correct way of doing it.

Find the Adsense Text Links Ads URL

The easiest Adsense Ads URL to find. The process of finding the irrelevant Adsense URL is very simple. Since it is a text link, you can just simply do highlight the text link below and copy it.

Find the Adsense Image Ads URL

In my case, Google Adsense Image Ads returns great click through rate. And to block irrelevant Google Adsense Image Ads you just have to right click directly on the ads then Copy Link Address for Google Chrome, Copy Shortcut for Internet Explorer or Copy Link Location for Firefox.

Then open a notepad and paste what you’ve just copied. The copied Google Adsense Image Ads looks like this:

In the code above, find the word “adurl”. The url link after the “adurl” is the url link of the advertiser you’re looking for.

Find the Adsense Flash/Video Ads

To find the Adsense Flash or Video Ads URL, you need to get Firebug first. Firebug is a Firefox add on to enable you to inspect the element of a certain part of the webpage and able to see the codes behind it.

After you installed correctly the Firebug, press F12 to activate it. Now press Inspect Element which has an icon of a Blue Arrow. Next is click directly on the Flash or video ads to see the html codes of it.

Just make sure that the Inspect Element is in active mode so that you will not click your own ad. So be careful. Did you see the EDIT button at the upper left hand corner? Yep, click it so that it will not move then copy and paste the code in notepad. Your keyword to find is “destination_url” or “http”. Remember, the code includes various links, most of them are from Google and from Macromedia but ignore them. There is only ONE 3rd party link there which is from the Advertiser, it’s very easy to find it in there.

You can now go back to your Google Dashboard. Go to Allow & Block Ads then Advertisers URL and paste the URL of the irrelevant Google Adsense Advertiser to the box provided and press the button “Block URL”.

Points to Ponder

Try to be specific – it is better to block a specific url rather than just a domain name only.

Example: www.bendaggers.com (domain name only) while www.bendaggers.com/sample/irrelevant_ads/ (specific url)

I was an Accountant in a not so well known medium scale Accounting Firm back when the days I was part of the payroll team. I was once the person you look for when concerns arise regarding your payslip. Included in my long list of responsibilities is the SSS compliance which require every company to submit the SSS Contribution Collection List R3 quarterly. SSS R3 Contribution Collection List is a form you must submit to your SSS branch that shows the names of the members of your company, SS Numbers and the contribution they made for the past quarter. It was also included in the SSS R3 Contribution Collection List the details if one of your employee was separated from your company and their Employee Compensation.

When doing the SSS R3 Contribution Collection List for my client, I discovered that SSS website doesn’t provide users an SSS R3 Contribution List Excel file format. Instead, they only provide PDF file which you cannot modify and save your monthly SSS R3 Contribution List. It was a bit ineffective since you have to print the PDF file and write manually all necessary information in the SSS R3 Contribution List Form.

Simple Steps on How To Apply for a Philippine Passport

If you’re fond of travelling, I bet a cross country adventure had crossed your mind. But before you get to start packing your suitcases and head down to your Safari or Asian adventure, you need to secure first the very basic document you’re required to have before traveling abroad. Yes, we’re talking about your Philippine Passport.

Philippine Passport is a forty four (44) page, valid travel document and considered as a primary national identification document which allows us to travel outside the country. Passports can be easily obtained in the Office of Consular Affairs – Department of Foreign Affairs which is Aseana Business Park along Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard corner Bradco Avenue.

The application of Philippine passport is very easy as long as you’re familiar with what’s going to happen and the right things to do. Remember that it’s easier to do things when you know everything and anticipate the things that could happen if you’re applying for a Philippine Passport. To put an end to the endless questions that Philippine Passport applicants ask, I have written down important requirements that can help you acquire your Philippine Passport whether it’s your first time to apply or renewal.

For First Time Applicants:

Since you’re applying for an Official Government Document (Philippine Passport), it’s a common and public knowledge that everyone is required to submit documents. It’s in my routine whenever I apply for something; I secure first all the necessary documents needed before visiting the Office or Agency where I want to apply with. Anyway, Philippine Passport requirements are:

1. Duly accomplished Philippine Passport Application Form – print a copy of the Philippine Passport Application Formhere.

I recommend that you print and accomplish at least two copies so that you’ll have a reserve copy.
2. Birth Certificate (BC) in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO or Certified True Copy (CTC) of BC issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO.
3. Proof of Identity / Supporting documents indicating full name, date and place of birth and citizenship – meaning other identification document that proves your identity. In my experience, I brought two of documents just to be sure. Below is the list of the documents that you can bring:

Marriage Certificate
Land Title
Driver’s License
Government Service Record
School Form 137 or Transcript of Records with dry seal
Other documents that show full name and birth details of applicant and/or citizenship
Voter’s Registration Record from COMELEC Intramuros
Baptismal Certificate with dry seal
Seaman’s Book
Income Tax Return (Old)
NBI Clearance

If you’re a married woman who wants to use the surname of your spouse:

Just bring your Marriage Certificate (MC) in Security Paper issued by NSO or Certified True Copy issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO. And fill up your Philippine Passport Application Form using your spouse’s last name.

If you’re a married woman who wants revert back to their maiden name:

If you’re a widowed, then the Death Certificate of the deceased husband will suffice.
If you’re annulled: A Photocopy and a Certified True Copy of the first page and the dispositive portion of the judgment on annulment and NSO-issued MC with the annotation on the annulment decree.
And, if you’re Divorced: Certified true copy and photocopy of the first page and the dispositive portion of the judgment on divorce secured by foreign spouse authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate where the divorce is obtained.

If you are a Minor:

Application of Philippine Passport for Minors is quite complicated since they have to bring someone with them since they are in Minor age. First, you need to know if the applicant is Legitimate or Illegitimate. If the Philippine Passport Applicant is a Minor and in LEGITIMATE Status, a personal appearance of EITHER parents. If the Philippine Passport is a Minor and in ILLEGITIMATE Status, a personal appearance of the Mother is required.

If you are a Minor and both your Parents are in abroad:

If you’re a Philippine passport applicant and you are a Minor, you are required to present the following:

1. Affidavit of support and consent (must be authenticated by the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate General if not executed before a Consul).
2. Special Power of Attorney (must be authenticated by the nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate General if not executed before a Consul designating the representative by name and authorizing him to apply for a passport on behalf of the minor).

If you are a Muslim and your birth certificate is not registered:

If you’re a Philippine passport applicant and you are a Muslim and your Birth Certificate is not registered, you must bring the following as your Philippine Passport requirements:

1. Late registered Birth Certificate in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by NSO.
2. Original and photocopy of Voter’s Affidavit or other supporting documents indicating date and place of birth and citizenship and tribal affiliation.
3. And lastly, a copy of Certificate from the Office on Muslim Affairs (OMA).

If you are a Muslim Convert:

You must submit as a Philippine Passport requirement the following:

1. Submit the annotated Birth Certificate in Security Paper.
2. Court Order granting change name.
3. Shari’ah Court Order
4. OMA Certificate of Registration

For Philippine Passport Renewals:

Bear in mind that before you go to DFA, please don’t forget to duplicate or triplicate all necessary requirements to avoid wasting time in applying for Philippine Passport.

If you are applying for Philippine Passport Renewal with Brown Passport (issued before May, 1 1995)

1.Old passport and photocopy of passport pages 1,2,3, 4 (amendment). The pages showing latest Bureau of Immigration departure and arrival stamps.
2.Original valid ID.
3.Birth Certificate from NSO in Security Paper (SECPA)
4.Negative Birth Record from NSO if born 1950 & below and Joint Birth Affidavit from Two Disinterested Persons; and supporting document showing complete Middle Name

If you are applying for Philippine Passport Renewal with Green Passport (issued after May, 1 1995)

1.Present passport and photocopy of pages 1,2,3 (amendment) and last page.
2.The pages showing latest Bureau of Immigration departure and arrival stamps.
3.Photocopy of Birth Certificate for minor applicants.
4.For illegitimate minor, personal appearance of mother is required.

If you are applying for Philippine Passport Renewal with Maroon Passport (Machine Readable)

1.Present passport and photocopy of pages 1,2,3 (amendment) and last page.
2.The pages showing latest Bureau of Immigration departure and arrival stamps.
3.Photocopy of Birth Certificate for minor applicants.
4.Original Birth Certificate from NSO in Security Paper (SECPA) if city/municipality & province on birth place is not specific (Example: NCR instead of San Juan, Metro Manila)
5.For illegitimate minor, personal appearance of mother is required.

Also, Please don’t forget to bring other supporting documents as additional Philippine Passport Requirements (if available) such as: Marriage Certificate, Land Title, Driver’s License, Government Service Record, School Form 137 or Transcript of Records with dry seal, Other documents that show full name and birth details of applicant and/or citizenship, Voter’s Registration Record from COMELEC Intramuros, Baptismal Certificate with dry seal, Seaman’s Book, Income Tax Return (Old), NBI Clearance.

Schedule an Appointment.

Since you’re already done with completing all the Philippine passport requirements, you can now set an appointment for your Philippine Passport Application. To do this, you can simply go directly to their website. Set a Philippine Passport Application Appointment here.

You can also try calling the DFA Philippine Passport Appointment Hotline (02) 737-1000. You don’t have to worry in calling the DFA Philippine Passport Appointment System, a Customer Care Officer will assist you in scheduling an appointment. He/She will ask you about your personal information. To avoid giving out wrong information, make sure that you have the filled out Philippine Passport Application Form in front of you so you can easily read it. The Customer Care Officer will give your Philippine Passport Appointment Reference Number, take note of it. He/She will also give a Print Code, take note also of that. You’ll need that to print new application form.

I really suggest that you utilize and take advantage of the Online Appointment System of Philippine Passport Application to avoid any hassles. It’s much more efficient to the applicants of Philippine Passport because of its real time service and process effectively. Take note that you will choose the date to schedule your Philippine Passport Application. Be careful of choosing the date, make sure that you don’t have any other activities that day to avoid conflicts with your schedule and not showing up. If you missed the appointment date, you can set another appointment but expect to wait again for your scheduled appointment date to arrive.

Some notes to ponder: It is proven and tested that Department of Foreign Affairs located at some selected provinces who handles Philippine Passport Application provides faster processing time compared in Manila. So before heading down to Manila, try first the DFA Provincial Offices.

Appointment Date Arrives.

When your Philippine Passport Application Appointment Date arrives, please make sure that you show up on time. Expect long lines, so be patient. In my experience, I scheduled my Philippine Passport Application in the morning then arrive at around 6AM. There are few applicants already but I got in the first twenty applicants for that day. But for others who don’t what to arrive very early at the DFA, you can go there 30 minutes to 1 hour before scheduled time. Just make sure not to be late. Late comers are not entertained.

If you’re not familiar with the location of the Office of Consular Affairs – Department of Foreign Affairs, you can refer to the location map provided below:

Important tip, you need to go to DFA and the nearest landmark is the Baclaran Church and the SM Mall of Asia. From MOA, you can just ride a bus going to DFA. If you’re in Baclaran, you can cross the pedestrian lane and turn to Bradco Street Avenue which is the S&R Department Store is located.

With regards to the Dress Code, I advise you NOT to wear any white top (white polo, white long sleeves or white blouse). All other colors are allowed. I am asking you to do this because the Philippine Passport Imaging/Photo Facility has a white background. You don’t want your photo to end up with floating head floating on a white sheet.

In my opinion, you should make sure that you look good on that day. Remember that they will be taking a photo of you. And that photo will appear at your Philippine Passport until it expires. At least comb your hair, take a bath (lol) and shave your beards (applicable to both men and women applicants).

When you arrive at the place, present your printed Philippine Passport Application form to the Appointment Counter. Get your Queue number at the Information Counter and wait for your number to appear at the monitor including Processing Window you should go to process your application.

Proceed to Passport Enrollment Section located at the Second Floor of the building and pay the appropriate Philippine Passport Fees. The Philippine Passport costs:

Regular Processing: Php 950.00 (15 working days)
Rush Processing: Php 1,200.00 (7 working days)
An additional fee of Php 200.00 will be charged for processing of Lost Passports if it is still valid.

You Philippine Passport is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue. Once lapsed, you need to run through the process of renewal.
